Screening: Early Childhood
Shawnee Mission School District
Early Childhood Screening
Shawnee Mission School District offers developmental screenings for children ages 2 years 9 months to 5 years of age.
Early Childhood Screening (ECS) serves to determine potential developmental delays in the areas of concepts, communication, self-help, social, motor, hearing and vision.
If results of screening indicate a potential developmental delay or disability, the screening team makes a referral for special education evaluation.
Early Childhood Screenings are by appointment only and are held monthly at the Shawnee Mission Early Childhood Education Center.
